Happy 2011!!!

I just wanted to wish all of you a happy, safe, and fun 2011. 2010 was very, very good to me, and I can only hope I've treated the people in my life just as well this year. Much love to you all!!

As you can imagine, the holiday rush has taken a toll on the digi sketch cards, on top of finishing up the last few Topps cards. Next week, digi cards return!!! =)

One more week of no digi-sketch card, because of the rush to get my Topps sketch cards done on time. But I've cleared 202 cards, and now I'm down to the last 60!!

Christmas Cards! & uStream Info

Yo, dudes!

Just wanted to show you my very first illustrated Christmas Card, for 2010! These are lost in the mail as I type, so hopefully they reach their destinations safely!

I wanted to update you guys on the uStream stuff. I'll be doing this in early January instead of this month. Time constraints just won't allow for it. More info to come!!

Also, I'll unfortunately be taking a break from the weekly sketch card this week. The Topps sketch cards have finally arrived, and I've got a lot of work to do!! So I couldn't get to this week's, but will resume next week! Please accept my apologies!

FREE Sketch Cards!

Sup, guys!

A few weeks ago, to celebrate getting the Topps gig, I offered the first 20 people to respond to my journal a free sketch card request, to be mailed to the requester once they were finished. It was a hit for sure, and ended up accepting 23 requests since it seemed to be so popular! The pic above is the finished set!

Now, onto the usual fun part of the week, the 8th digital sketch card! This one is from a SUPER obscure corner of the Expanded Universe, Star Wars Tales issue # 2 in the year 1999. He's actually an unknown Jedi disguised as a rock miner from the vignette called "Incident at Horn Station." He's nicknamed "Pinky" by some jerk who gets what's coming to him, and this dude saves the day like a TOTAL badass! I highly recommend reading the story if you get the chance. Anyway, enjoy "Pinky"!!

A Quick Friday Update

Still waiting on the blanks from Topps to get started on those Galaxy 6 sketch cards! I can't wait!! Another thanks to Grant Gould for all his help prepping for the gig!

I also wanted to announce in this post that I will be LIVE STREAMING the 9th Expanded Universe digital sketch card for this blog, on Thursday, December 16th! More details to come, but I thought it would be a fun little thing to do! Hopefully you can tune in!

And speaking of those digi-sketch cards, here's week 7: Embo from the Clone Wars series! I really love this dude, he kept belting out surprises in the episode he was featured in! Hopefully we'll get a return appearance of him someday. Enjoy!
